Job summary

New York State Department of Labor is seeking a Senior/Lead QA Tester / Automation Tester for an onsite/hybrid role in Albany, NY. You will design and execute test plans, build automation frameworks, and validate backend data with SQL queries.

Required 5+ years in lead testing, experience with Selenium WebDriver, Java, and CI/CD tools, plus web services testing and WCAG accessibility validation. Onsite/hybrid work arrangement with client submission processes.

Qualifications

• Lead tester with 5+ years of experience designing, executing, and managing test scenarios, test cases, and traceability matrices.
• Experience designing, building, and maintaining POM or hybrid automation frameworks using Selenium WebDriver, Java, J2EE, HTML/CSS/JS, Eclipse IDE.
• Proficient in writing complex SQL queries to validate backend data and create test data.
• Experience with GitHub, Maven, Jenkins, and CI/CD processes.
• Experience testing web services in a SOA environment including functional and performance testing with JMeter/SoapUI/Postman.
• Web accessibility testing per WCAG 2.1 AA/ADA using automated tools and screen readers.
