Job summary

LK Jordan & Associates in Houston, TX, is seeking an experienced QA Inspector III for a fastener manufacturer on the 2nd shift (10:00 AM – 6:00 PM). You will perform first article, in-process, and final inspections to ensure parts meet customer specifications and quality standards.

The ideal candidate reads engineering drawings with GD&T, uses precision inspection equipment, and documents results clearly. Training is provided on mechanical testing equipment, and you will verify markings,

Qualifications

• Experience reading engineering drawings and GD&T callouts.
• Strong ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
• Working knowledge of GD&T concepts and ASME Y14.5.

Responsibilities

• Perform first article and in-process inspections for machining operations.
• Conduct final inspections and make acceptance/rejection decisions.
• Inspect machined fasteners for dimensional and quality requirements.
• Verify part stamp markings and identification.
• Interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and GD&T requirements.
• Perform mechanical testing (as trained) including hardness, tensile, Charpy, PMI.
• Perform coating thickness verification.
• Document inspection results and maintain quality records.
• Identify non-conforming parts and communicate quality issues.
