Job summary

vCluster Labs is seeking a Senior Software Quality Engineer to own end‑to‑end test strategy and automate frameworks for backend services and UI. You will work with engineering and product to drive testability and reliability during design discussions, and ensure fast, high‑confidence feedback via CI/CD pipelines.

The role requires 7+ years in QA, hands‑on abilities in Go/Python/JS, and experience with AI‑assisted QA, Kubernetes, and robust debugging.

Qualifications

• 7+ years in QA or software testing with 2+ years at senior/staff level.
• Proficient in Go, Python or JavaScript for automation and tooling.
• Daily use of AI tools for reviewing PRs, design docs, test plans, and automating tests.

Responsibilities

• Test framework ownership across backend services and UI.
• Define and execute end-to-end test strategy aligned to product goals.
• Influence cross-functional teams on quality and testability.
• Provide architectural input focused on reliability and testability.
• Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions, Jenkins).
• Perform exploratory testing to catch edge cases and regressions.
• Coordinate parallel test execution across multiple projects.
