Job summary

Hudl is seeking a Senior Quality Assurance Engineer to lead quality end-to-end for our North American Sports product team. You will build risk-based testing strategies, own automation with Playwright, and drive reliability and performance across APIs, data pipelines, and UI.

You’ll coach teammates, partner with Engineering, Product and Design, and help hire and develop the team while enabling AI-assisted testing and efficient workflows. Remote work is supported for candidates in the US.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of software testing experience with hands-on expertise across full stack — API testing, backend and data-heavy systems, and front-end validation.
• Ownership of squad quality end-to-end with measurable risk reduction.
• Experience rooting complex problems, data-driven findings, and outcome measurement.
• Familiarity with AI tools in test case creation, failure diagnosis, and documentation.

Responsibilities

• Lead quality initiatives with risk-based testing strategies tailored to your squad’s architecture.
• Design and execute tests across UI, APIs, backend services and data pipelines.
• Coach teammates to raise quality standards and influence how the squad approaches testing.
• Collaborate with Engineering, Product and Design; contribute to hiring and own professional development.
