Job summary

Hudl is seeking an experienced Senior Quality Assurance Engineer to own quality end-to-end for our North American Sports product team. You will design risk-based testing, drive automation with Playwright and Python/TypeScript, and raise quality standards across the squad.

You’ll collaborate with Engineering, Product, and Design, mentoring teammates and contributing to hiring while focusing on reliability, performance, and data-driven decisions in a sports analytics environment.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of software testing across API, backend, and frontend.
• Experience with automation frameworks like Playwright and languages Python/TypeScript.
• Led testing initiatives end-to-end and defined success criteria.
• Root cause analysis with data-driven decisions.
• Familiar with AI tools to enhance testing.
• Knowledge of performance testing (load/stress) with tools like JMeter.
• Passion or experience in Basketball, American Football, or Ice Hockey.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead quality initiatives and build risk-based testing strategies for your squad.
• Design and execute tests spanning front-end UI, APIs, backend services, and data pipelines.
• Coach teammates and raise quality standards across the team.
• Partner with Engineering, Product, and Design; contribute to hiring and professional development.
