Job summary

Hudl is seeking an experienced Senior Quality Assurance Engineer for our North American Sports product team. The role focuses on automation and end-to-end quality for analytics and Recruit products, helping coaches and analysts make data-driven decisions.

You will own testing strategies, drive quality discussions, and advocate for reliability and performance at every stage of delivery. You’ll mentor peers and collaborate with Engineering, Product, and Design to ship high-quality software.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of software testing across full stack: API, backend, data-heavy systems, and frontend validation.
• Proficient in automation frameworks like Playwright and languages such as Python or TypeScript.
• Strong leadership: owned quality for a squad, led testing initiatives end-to-end, defined success criteria.
• Investigative rigour: root-cause analysis supported by data and measurable outcomes.
• User-focused testing approach with emphasis on reliability and performance.
• AI-powered working: using AI tools for test case creation, failure diagnosis, and documentation.

Responsibilities

• Lead quality initiatives within the squad and drive risk-based testing strategies.
• Design and execute tests across UI, APIs, back-end, and data pipelines to validate transformations and logic.
• Automate intelligently with Playwright and scripting for reliable checks that pace with development.
• Mentor teammates to raise quality standards across the team.
