Job summary

General Dynamics Ordnance and Tactical Systems (OTS) in Marion, IL is seeking a Senior QA Engineer to develop and implement methods for process control, testing and inspection to ensure our products are defect-free and function as designed.

The role involves analyzing defect reports, collaborating with design, manufacturing, and suppliers, and leading corrective actions to minimize defects. Travel up to 25% may be required and work is performed on-site at the Marion facility.

Qualifications

• Associate's Degree and 5-7 years' experience OR Equivalent Combination of Relevant Education /or Experience
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)

Responsibilities

• Establishes quality standards for products and processes and suggests modifications to prevent defects.
• Works closely with cross-functional teams to identify and mitigate quality risks.
• Audits production processes, raw materials, or suppliers to ensure established standards are met.
• Conducts root causes analysis for defects and non-conformities.
• May ensure compliance with external quality standards such as ISO 9001.
