Job summary

Nexa is seeking a Senior Quality Engineer to own QA across the platform for a mobile-first healthcare AI product. You’ll shape the testing strategy, drive end-to-end quality across mobile apps, APIs and integrations, and ensure release-readiness from day one.

You will own mobile test automation and API testing, collaborate with Product and Engineering, and establish a scalable QA process in a small, remote-friendly team with growth potential.

Qualifications

• At least five years of software QA experience.
• Ownership of quality for an iOS or Android product.
• Experience building and maintaining automated E2E tests.
• Strong API testing experience using Postman or Insomnia or code-based approaches.
• Experience testing system integrations, asynchronous workflows, webhooks and failure modes.
• Ability to interpret application logs and understand backend workflows.
• Strong knowledge of mobile release processes, including TestFlight and staged rollouts.
• Clear written communication and precise bug reporting.

Responsibilities

• Define test strategy, coverage standards and release-readiness criteria.
• Build and maintain automated mobile E2E tests using Maestro.
• Perform exploratory testing across iOS and Android.
• Own testing across TestFlight, internal tracks, staged rollouts and app-store releases.
• Build automated API test coverage for backend services.
• Test asynchronous workflows, webhooks, data synchronisation and third-party integrations.
• Validate failure handling and degraded behaviour when external services are unavailable.
• Use logs, traces and metrics to investigate defects across service boundaries.
• Work closely with Product and Engineering to improve acceptance criteria.
• Document and track defects in Linear with clear reproduction steps.
• Monitor post-release quality and drive continuous improvement.
