Role Overview

We are looking for a skilled Senior QA Engineer with 4+ years of experience in manual and automation testing. The candidate will be responsible for developing automation frameworks, API testing, performance testing, Google Apps Script automation, and ensuring overall software quality. The role also includes mentoring junior team members and leveraging AI tools to improve testing efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

1. Automation & Manual Testing

• Design, develop, and maintain automation frameworks using Selenium, Playwright, or equivalent tools.
• Execute functional, regression, smoke, sanity, and exploratory testing.
• Create test scenarios, test cases, and maintain comprehensive test coverage.
• Identify, document, and track defects using JIRA.
• Troubleshoot automation failures and ensure reliable test execution.

2. API & Performance Testing

• Perform API testing and automation using Postman, RestAssured, or equivalent tools.
• Validate API responses, payloads, headers, and error handling.
• Conduct performance testing using JMeter, LoadRunner, or equivalent tools.
• Analyse test results and identify performance bottlenecks.

3. Workflow Automation & CI/CD

• Develop automation solutions using Google Apps Script for Google Docs, Sheets, and other Google Workspace tools.
• Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or equivalent tools.
• Leverage AI tools and prompt engineering to improve testing, automation, and productivity.
• Exposure to AI workflow automation is an added advantage.
• Participate in requirement discussions, sprint planning, and test planning.
• Collaborate with developers and stakeholders to resolve defects.
• Mentor junior team members in manual and automation testing.
• Contribute to QA strategy and continuous process improvements.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• 4+ years of experience in manual and automation testing.
• Strong knowledge of Selenium, Playwright, or equivalent tools.
• Experience with API automation using Postman, RestAssured, or similar tools.
• Hands-on experience with JMeter, LoadRunner, or equivalent performance testing tools.
• Experience with Google Apps Script and workflow automation.
• Understanding of CI/CD, SDLC, STLC, and Agile methodologies.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Experience mentoring junior QA engineers.

Added Advantage

• Strong SQL skills with MySQL, BigQuery, or similar databases.
• Experience in database validation and query optimization.
• Familiarity with Cypress, TestNG, JUnit, or PyTest.
• Experience with Git and cloud-based testing.
• Exposure to AI-assisted testing and AI workflow automation.
