Job summary

NVIDIA is seeking a Software Test Engineer to join the NVIDIA-Cumulus Linux Verification Engineering Team in Santa Clara. You will lead verification of features and platforms, develop test plans, execute tests, and build automated suites for NVIDIA-Cumulus Linux on Spectrum series Ethernet Switch systems.

The role involves design reviews, test bed setup, defect reporting, and collaboration with cross-functional teams.

Qualifications

B.S. degree or equivalent experience in Engineering/Computer Science/related field.
8+ years of proven experience in Software Quality Engineering.
Strong technical abilities, problem-solving, design, coding, and debugging skills.
Hands-on experience on Layer 2 and Layer 3 routing features.
Hands-on experience on switch platform or ASIC features, firmwares and upgrades.
Expertise with CPLD, BIOS, SecureBoot, SSD testing.
Experience with using test tools from Ixia or Spirent and working experience with test management tools.
Expertise in telemetry features.
Strong skills in Python or other scripting languages are a must.
Good experience working on Unix or Linux-based OS with solid understanding of software engineering practices.

Responsibilities

Lead verification of Platform/Feature designs and develop detailed test plans.
Develop automated test suites for NVIDIA-Cumulus Linux across Spectrum-based platforms.
Execute tests, report defects, and verify fixes/workarounds.
Design test beds/topologies and maintain automation infrastructure for regression.
Collaborate with design, test and other internal teams to identify and resolve issues.
