Job summary

NVIDIA in Santa Clara is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join the Cumulus Linux team. You will design and develop core platform services for the OS powering data center switches.

We expect 6+ years in enterprise software, strong C and Python, Linux internals, and experience with datacenter switch bringups. The role requires 2-3 days in office per week and offers equity and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• MS/BS in a relevant field or equivalent experience.
• 6+ years of enterprise software development.
• Strong C and Python coding skills.
• Knowledge of Linux systems and kernel internals.
• Experience with datacenter switch bringups and I2C/SMBus/PHY tech.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop software for Cumulus Linux operating system.
• Bring up Cumulus Linux on next-generation Nvidia switches.
• Develop and maintain Python, C and Shell for OS components.
• Collaborate with product, architecture, and engineering teams.
• Debug and resolve issues reported by tests and customers.
• Contribute to open source software used in the OS.
