Job summary

Camgian is seeking a Senior QA Software Engineer in Starkville, MS to lead QA strategy across software, firmware, and hardware. You will stay hands-on in code and automation while coaching a growing QA team under the Quality Assurance Director.

You will craft automated and manual testing across Android, Windows, embedded, and cloud platforms, driving robust release readiness and defect investigations with measurable quality improvements.

Qualifications

• 7+ years combined software development and QA experience, including senior/lead level responsibilities.
• Design, build, and maintain test automation frameworks and tooling.
• Experience in integrating automated testing into CI/CD pipelines.
• Proficient in at least one programming language and able to read production code.
• Strong knowledge of API testing and tools.
• Experience across Android, Windows, embedded/firmware, and cloud platforms.
• Mentor and raise performance of junior/mid-level QA engineers.

Responsibilities

• Define and own QA test strategy and release criteria for software, firmware, and hardware.
• Design, code, and maintain automated test suites and frameworks for multiple test types.
• Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines for repeatable quality gates.
• Lead investigations of complex defects with reproducible test cases and root-cause analysis.
• Validate fixes and provide release-readiness recommendations with QA sign-off.
• Mentor team members and adjust staffing/roles as needed to close capability gaps.
• Evaluate UI/UX implementations and provide structured feedback.
• Own test-result reporting, metrics, and traceability; maintain artifacts.
