Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, information systems, engineering, or related field or equivalent.
• 5+ years in software quality assurance or testing.
• Experience creating/executing test cases for applications or software systems.
• Experience identifying, documenting, and tracking defects through resolution.
• Strong understanding of SDLC and testing fundamentals.
• SQL querying basics for data validation and test support.
• Ability to translate requirements into test coverage.
• Strong written and verbal communication, and organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently and across teams.

Responsibilities

• Review requirements to identify test scope, risks, edge cases, and data validation needs.
• Create, maintain, and execute test plans, cases, and scenarios for new features and defects.
• Perform manual testing for functional, regression, integration, system, and release validation.
• Validate application behavior and data outcomes, including CRUD processing where applicable.
• Query databases to confirm expected behavior, data accuracy, and integrity after changes.
• Document, reproduce, and track defects; verify fixes and perform retesting.
• Collaborate with developers, stakeholders, and users to clarify expected behavior.
• Participate in release readiness and post-change validation.
• Maintain QA documentation, test evidence, and data needed for validation.
• Suggest opportunities to improve QA efficiency and coverage.
• Create lightweight scripts/utilities to reduce repetitive manual effort.
