Job summary

Hudl is seeking an experienced Senior Quality Assurance Engineer for its North American Sports product team. You will own quality end-to-end, build strategies and automation, and drive reliability across UI, APIs, and data pipelines to support sports analytics used by coaches and analysts.

You will coach teammates, push high standards, and collaborate with Engineering, Product, and Design while contributing to hiring and professional growth.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of software testing across the full stack: API, backend data-heavy systems, and frontend validation.
• Experience with automation frameworks like Playwright and languages like Python or TypeScript.
• Led testing initiatives end-to-end, defined success criteria, and reduced production risk.
• Root-cause analysis with data-driven decision making.
• Familiar with AI tools in testing for case creation and failure diagnosis.
• Knowledge of performance testing (load, stress, scalability) with tools like JMeter.
• Passion for or experience in Basketball, American Football or Ice Hockey and sports tech.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead quality initiatives by building risk-based testing strategies and driving quality discussions in scrum ceremonies.
• Design and execute tests across UI, APIs, backend services, and data pipelines.
• Coach teammates, raise quality standards, and advocate for reliability and performance.
• Partner with Engineering, Product, and Design; contribute to hiring and team development.
