Job summary

Premier Talent Partners in New York, NY seeks a Senior QA Engineer for onsite role focusing on hardware-software integration in AI-powered smart shopping carts. You will validate end-to-end cart functionality across locations, ensuring payment systems, cameras, CV pipelines, scales, and the Android app operate seamlessly.

You will lead testing across retail partners, develop test cases, triage bugs in Jira, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive quality.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in QA or test engineering, with a focus on hardware, embedded systems, retail, or point-of-sale technology.
• Strong Android debugging skills, including experience with ADB, logcat, and UIAutomator.
• Proficiency with TestRail or similar test management tools and Jira for bug tracking.
• Comfort working hands-on with physical devices such as carts, payment terminals, and peripherals.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, capable of representing QA in cross-functional teams.
• Demonstrated ability to create detailed test plans and execute structured testing procedures.

Responsibilities

• Lead feature and regression testing for cart hardware and software releases across various retail partners.
• Conduct comprehensive hardware-software integration testing, including payment terminals (Ingenico), scales, cameras, and peripheral devices.
• Develop, maintain, and execute detailed test cases using TestRail, supporting new feature launches and retailer rollouts.
• Identify, document, and triage bugs in Jira, collaborating closely with engineering teams to analyze root causes and resolve issues.
• Partner with retailer, deployment, and product teams during feature launches, pilots, and deployment phases.
• Contribute to continuous quality improvements by reviewing test results and refining testing processes.
• Participate in cross-functional planning to ensure product quality standards are met and exceeded.
