The AES Group is seeking a Senior QA Engineer to join the Web Engineering team in Phoenix, AZ. You will help build and scale high-quality web experiences used by millions of Card Members worldwide.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
• 10+ years of experience in software or quality engineering.
• Hands-on automated testing for web apps with Playwright and Selenium.
• Hands-on automated API testing with Playwright or similar tools.
• Strong JavaScript skills and familiarity with Java-based testing frameworks.
• Coding experience to build and maintain automation frameworks.
• Experience with distributed systems and integrations in modern environments.
• Analytical, problem-solving, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
• Experience applying AI-assisted engineering/testing strategies and tools.
• Financial services experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Shaped user stories, acceptance criteria, and risk-based test scenarios to improve release confidence and quality.
• Build, maintain, and improve automated test suites for web and API layers with CI/CD integration.
• Drive automation-first quality practices to reduce manual effort and accelerate feedback.
• Collaborate with product, frontend, backend, and platform engineers to validate requirements and prevent defects.
• Enable shift-left testing and early issue detection during feature implementation.
• Develop and use test data strategies and mocks to validate functionality across dependent systems.
• Contribute to test strategy, estimations, and quality risk assessments early in planning.
• Promote maintainable test design, CI health, observability, and continuous improvement.
• Apply AI-assisted testing practices to improve test design and troubleshooting.
