Job summary

Xformative is seeking a QA-focused engineer to advance the company’s testing practices and automate AI-assisted testing across its platform and applications. You will design scalable QA processes, build AI-enabled testing tools, and work with development teams to ensure high-quality releases.

The role emphasizes collaboration, performance testing, and coverage reporting, with responsibilities spanning test planning, execution, and on-call support to maintain robust software quality.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field or equivalent experience.
• Applicants must be authorized to work in the U.S.
• 5+ years of software testing/quality assurance.
• Fintech experience preferred, or equivalent with regulatory environments (SOC2, PCI DSS).
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and tools (Github Actions preferred).
• Experience with AWS and its managed products (Lambda, ECS, DynamoDB, CloudWatch).
• Familiarity with multi-account AWS environments.
• Experience leveraging AI tools to enhance QA workflows.
• Willingness to participate in a shared on-call rotation for security incidents.

Responsibilities

• Establish, document, and continuously improve QA standards, processes, and best practices across applications and platform.
• Design and implement AI-assisted tools and workflows to improve coverage and defect detection.
• Triage, diagnose, report, track, and resolve quality issues.
• Create detailed test plans, develop test cases, execute tests, and document results.
• Participate in functional, system, regression, and UAT testing.
• Perform performance and load testing to validate scalability and reliability.
• Collaborate with development and platform engineering to align test strategy and release quality.
• Support users with escalations and software issues.
• Own code coverage standards and CI reporting pipelines.
