Job summary

Optum Bank is seeking a Senior Quality Engineer to drive automation, CI/CD integration, and quality across banking tech platforms. You will build robust automated test suites, employ AI tools to optimize workflows, ensure high performance and security, and champion quality throughout the software lifecycle.

You will collaborate with software engineers, product owners, and architects to define test strategies, write and maintain tests, and mentor QA engineers as part of a high-performing team.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering OR related field or equivalent experience in lieu of degree.
• 4+ years of software quality engineering or software development experience.
• 3+ years of automated test scripting with Selenium, Cypress, Cucumber, or TestNG.
• 3+ years of programming in Java, Python, C#, or JavaScript.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, maintain, and execute automated test frameworks and scripts for complex software applications.
• Integrate automated testing into CI/CD pipelines.
• Utilize AI-assisted tools to streamline testing workflows and improve QA processes.
• Collaborate with software engineering, architecture, and product management to define test strategies.
• Perform functional, integration, regression, performance, and end-to-end testing across banking technology environments.
• Conduct code reviews for automated test scripts and mentor QA team members.
• Support ongoing improvements using AI-driven testing approaches.
