Job summary

Moog in Phoenix, AZ is seeking a Senior Quality Assurance Engineer to lead quality processes from proposal to delivery in an electronics lab environment. You will report to the Quality Manager and work on-site on first shift, driving AS9100 compliance and supplier quality.

The role requires a minimum of 5 years in a similar setting, Aerospace/Defense experience, J-STD/NASA training, and strong knowledge of Lean Six Sigma.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a similar technical or engineering discipline.
• Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a similar role, within an electronics lab environment.
• Aerospace/Defense Contracting industry experience is required
• J-STD and/or NASA training/experience is required; Certifications strongly preferred
• Working knowledge of AS9100 Quality System.
• Strong knowledge of LEAN manufacturing principals (e.g. Six Sigma, Green Belt, Black Belt).
• Capable of interpreting engineering drawings and instructions.
• In-depth knowledge of all the protocols for handling electronic hardware and test equipment such as ESD and FOD
• Prior working knowledge of TIPQA or similar tool to manage non-conformances, suppliers, and quality clauses.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement proactive quality methodologies to effectively and efficiently identify quality issues.
• Analyze process problems/situations by reviewing facts and creating solutions using guidelines, procedures, and standards.
• Monitor quality performance data to track progress and guide root cause corrective action (RCCA).
• Prepare End Item Data Package (EIDP) reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing data.
• Own customer pre-ship reviews enabling seamless shipment of products.
• Perform continuous improvements and document new processes to support AS9100 and external audits.
• Manage/Support FRBs and MRBs to address non-conformance and corrective actions.
• Provide operational/manufacturing support and monitor assembly process control.
