Job summary

Ping Identity seeks a Senior QA Engineer in Bangalore to lead API and UI automation efforts using Selenium and Java. You will design end-to-end test plans, build scalable automation frameworks, and integrate tests into CI/CD pipelines in a fast-paced Agile setting.

Require 5–9 years in QA automation, proficiency in Go or Python, and strong experience with REST Assured, Postman, and Selenium WebDriver. Excellent collaboration and leadership skills are expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CS or related field.
• 5–9 years of QA automation experience.
• Proficiency in Go or Python programming.
• Experience with API testing and automation using REST Assured, Postman, or similar.
• Solid experience with test frameworks such as TestNG, JUnit or Serenity.
• 1–3 years of hands-on experience with Selenium WebDriver for UI automation.
• Experience integrating automated tests in CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, Git, Maven).
• Strong Agile/Scrum understanding and leadership abilities.
• Cloud-based testing experience (AWS, Azure) and containerization (Docker/Kubernetes).
• Customer-facing skills to represent Ping Identity effectively.

We are looking for a Senior QA Engineerwith strong hands-on experience in API and UI Automation usingSelenium, Java. This is a Full time position based in our Bangalore office.

Responsibilities – what you’ll do:

You will:

• Develop comprehensive end-to-end test plans, oversee their execution, and ensure thorough test coverage using effective strategies.
• Perform test automation across API, backend, and UI components, including the design and development of scalable, maintainable, and efficient automation frameworks and test scripts usingSelenium and Java.
• Write high-quality code, review both product and automation code changes, and lead by example in applying coding standards and best practices.
• Demonstrate a strong understanding of software engineering principles, including source code control, unit testing, and CI/CD processes.
• Integrate test automation into CI/CD pipelines using tools likeJenkins, Git, and Maven.
• Work in a fast-paced Agile/Scrum environment, actively participating in sprint planning, user story refinement, design discussions, QA documentation, and post-release support.
• Collaborate with developers, architects, and product managers to understand requirements and define effective test strategies.
• Provide technical recommendations and testing solutions aligned with program goals.
• Lead troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and resolution of operational and application issues.
• Implement preventive measures based on root cause findings and propose mitigation strategies for identified project risks.
• Communicate test designs, test artifacts, and quality metrics clearly and effectively to stakeholders.
• Review and evaluate quality improvement initiatives aimed at enhancing efficiency.
• Ensure QA best practices are followed and mentor junior team members.
• Drive defect triage discussions and support continuous quality improvement across the team.

You have:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science Engineering, or a related field.
• 5-9 yearsof experience in Quality Assurance, with a focus on automation.
• Proficiency inGo or Python programming.
• Expertise inAPI testingandautomationusingREST Assured,Postman, or similar.
• Solid experience withtest frameworks such asTestNG,JUnitorSerenity.
• 1 to 3 years of hands‑on experience withSelenium WebDriverfor UI automation.
• Experience integrating automated tests inCI/CD pipelines(Jenkins, Git, Maven).
• In‑depth understanding ofAgile/Scrum methodologies.
• Strong analytical, debugging, and problem‑solving skills.
• Excellent communication and leadership abilities.
• Experience withcloud‑based testing(AWS, Azure).
• Exposure to containerized environments (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes)
• Customer‑facing skills to represent Ping Identity well within the customer's environment and drive discussions with senior personnel regarding trade‑offs, best practices, project
• management, and risk mitigation.
• Leading/Involved in the highly available and fault‑tolerant enterprise.

You have an advantage if:

• Fundamental knowledge in Identity and Access Management (IAM).
• Familiarity with the following protocols: SAML, OAuth, OpenID Connect, and SCIM.
