Job summary

F&A Technologies LLC in Herndon, VA seeks a Senior Software QA/Application Tester to join a small test team supporting the Kodiak program. The selected candidate will design automated tests, develop solutions with Java and Selenium, and perform manual testing when automation is impractical.

You will evaluate requirements, craft comprehensive test plans, and collaborate with developers to ensure quality across multiple applications and deployment stages in a dynamic environment.

Qualifications

• TS/SCI security clearance with Polygraph required on Day One.
• Expert-level experience with Selenium WebDriver.
• Strong programming and development skills, particularly with Java.
• Experience writing and executing SQL queries for data validation.
• Experience with relational databases: Oracle, PostgreSQL, MySQL.
• Experience using an IDE (IntelliJ IDEA, Eclipse, NetBeans).
• Experience working in a Linux environment, Bash scripting, and vi.
• Experience developing test plans, test cases, test procedures, test scripts, and test scenarios.
• Demonstrated experience with both manual and automated testing processes.
• Hands-on experience with testing tools such as Selenium and/or JMeter.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and execute automated tests for multiple applications and technology platforms.
• Develop automated testing solutions using Java and Selenium WebDriver.
• Perform manual testing when automated testing is impractical or inefficient.
• Evaluate developer assignments and independently interpret requirements to determine testing strategies.
• Engineer comprehensive tests to validate functionality and identify edge cases.
• Develop and maintain automated test code in an IDE (IntelliJ, Eclipse, NetBeans).
• Develop and execute SQL queries to validate data in Oracle, PostgreSQL, MySQL.
• Create, maintain, and execute detailed test plans, test cases, tests scripts, and scenarios.
• Conduct functional, regression, integration, and other applicable testing activities.
• Support performance and load testing with developers as required.
