Job summary

TECHEAD is seeking a Senior Quality Assurance Automation Engineer to lead testing efforts on the Disposition Modernization Project. The role requires defining QA strategy, overseeing automated test creation, and driving performance testing within an agile environment.

Remote work with occasional in-person meetings near Richmond, VA, is available. Ideal candidates have 8+ years of QA experience, 4+ years in test automation, and proficiency with Selenium and JMeter, plus strong SDLC knowledge.

Qualifications

• 8+ years hands-on QA experience.
• 4+ years in test automation.
• Bachelor’s degree in CS/IT or related field.
• Extensive experience in testing methodologies, test planning, and execution strategies.
• Experience with Selenium and JMeter.
• Ability to coach junior QA team members.
• Expertise in designing performance tests.
• Proficient in KPI tracking and test reporting.

Responsibilities

• Define the overall quality assurance and automation strategy for the project.
• Identify test scope, types of testing, and automation feasibility.
• Evaluate the tech stack and recommend automation frameworks, tools, and architecture.
• Establish quality metrics (test coverage, defect leakage, pass rate, stability indicators).
• Oversee and participate in creating, designing, and executing automated tests by creating scripts that run testing functions automatically.
• Determine the priority for test scenarios and create execution plans to implement these scenarios.
