Job summary

Ostware Services is seeking an experienced Senior QA Automation Engineer to enhance functionality for DPU/IPU systems based on SONiC. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Python and networking protocols, and will actively contribute to open-source initiatives.

The role involves validating new functionality, executing test cases, and developing automated testing programs within a remote-first environment.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of commercial experience in Embedded Software Validation and Test Automation.
• Proven experience in writing technical test documentation.
• Experience with virtualization and containerization.

Responsibilities

• Extend functionality for modern DPU/IPU systems based on SONiC.
• Validate new SONiC/SAI functionality for modern DPU/IPU systems.
• Execute test cases and maintain detailed documentation.

Skills

Proficiency in Python

Strong networking background (L2/L3, tunneling, routing, switching)

Experience with software and hardware traffic generators (IXIA, Scapy)

Hands-on experience with Linux

Knowledge of test frameworks such as Pytest, PTF

Understanding of CI/CD pipelines and Jenkins

Strong communication skills

Education

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related technical discipline
