Job summary

Palo Alto Networks is seeking a Principal SQA engineer for its SD-WAN group to validate core networking and security features. Office-based with four days per week in the office, one day remote, and a collaborative, fast-paced engineering culture.

The ideal candidate has extensive networking and Linux testing experience, strong automation skills with Python, and a track record of leading QA efforts in complex environments. Competitive compensation and potential RSUs/bonus.

Qualifications

8+ years of relevant experience with BS or MS degree.
Expertise with standard TCP/IP protocols such as ARP, IP, ICMP, TCP, UDP & IPSec VPNs.
Expertise in testing of enterprise routing protocols such as BGP, OSPF & EIGRP.
Expertise in networking features like Multicast, IPv6, DNS, NAT & DHCP.
Expertise in Linux platform testing on x86 platform architecture, Components and tools.
Expertise in control plane and data plane architecture in networking devices.
Expertise with performance characterization of networking products.
Automation/Programming using Python and RestAPIs.
Be able to build and maintain complex networking testbeds.

Responsibilities

Work in a small and fast paced team to solve important customer problems and deliver most impactful results.
Contribute in all phases of end-to-end product and solution validation.
Work with different development and quality assurance groups to achieve the best quality.
Suggest and implement improvements to the QA process.
