Job summary

First Tech Federal Credit Union is seeking a Senior QA Automation Engineer to drive automation strategy by developing Playwright/Python frameworks and AI-assisted testing solutions. The role focuses on integrating automated testing into CI/CD pipelines to ensure high-quality software delivery.

Responsibilities include leading QA planning, defect lifecycle management, and mentoring team members, with a focus on API, UI, and end-to-end testing across our tech stack.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science/Engineering or equivalent work experience.
• 4–6 years of QA experience in a technical setting.
• 3+ years hands-on Playwright automation experience.
• Strong Python programming skills.
• Experience building automation frameworks from scratch.
• Experience with AI tools and AI-assisted test automation.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and Agile methodologies.
• Strong understanding of API, UI and End-to-End test automation.
• Experience integrating automated tests into CI/CD workflows.

Responsibilities

• Lead planning, designing and executing QA testing within the Credit Union, including maintaining a test script library.
• Review specs to ensure testing coverage and identify gaps with the PMO.
• Lead defect tracking through lifecycle and coordinate with owners.
• Lead various testing: functional, regression, load, and UAT, manually and with automation.
• Design, develop, and maintain automated test suites using Playwright & Python.
• Create and maintain automated tests for API, UI, and end-to-end workflows.
• Analyze results, troubleshoot defects, and suggest quality improvements.
• Mentor team members and report progress to supervisor.
