Job summary
Thomson Reuters Special Services seeks a Sr. Automation QA Engineer to develop automated solutions, design test plans, and implement a scalable automation framework across multiple products. You will write Playwright-based tests, mentor teammates, and leverage AI-assisted tooling to accelerate test creation and maintenance.
The role requires 7+ years in QA, proficiency in Python and JavaScript/TypeScript, and the ability to obtain a U.S. National Security Clearance.
Qualifications
- 7+ years of QA experience.
- Strong Python and JavaScript/TypeScript with modular, reusable code.
- Hands-on Playwright experience for web apps.
- Experience leading or mentoring QA engineers.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. National Security Clearance.
- U.S. Citizenship required.
Responsibilities
- Designs and builds maintainable, scalable test structures across products.
- Translates requirements into test plans with PMs/Engineers.
- Writes and executes Playwright-based functional tests.
- Leads test automation architecture decisions and tool adoption.
- Mentors QA team and guides skill development.
- Analyzes test failures and drives fixes.
