Job summary

NTT DATA is seeking an experienced QA Automation Engineer to design and maintain automated test frameworks for web applications, APIs, and distributed microservices in a brokerage/financial services environment.

You will develop API automation tests, validate serverless workflows in AWS, and ensure coverage across REST/SOAP APIs, using Selenium/Playwright with Java and Python in an Agile setting.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of hands-on QA automation in brokerage/financial services.
• AWS Certification with hands-on cloud experience.
• 5+ years of experience with AWS services including Lambda, API Gateway, SQS, SNS, Step Functions, DynamoDB, CloudWatch, S3 and EventBridge.
• 5+ years of experience validating serverless workflows and event-driven architectures in AWS.
• 3+ years of automation programming using Java and Python.
• 5+ years of experience with API automation testing (REST/SOAP) using REST Assured, Postman, Karate.
• Strong understanding of HTTP methods, REST principles, and security (OAuth2, JWT, API Keys).
• Experience integrating automated test suites into CI/CD pipelines.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, execute, and maintain automated test frameworks for web apps, APIs, and microservices.
• Develop and execute API automation tests for REST and SOAP services.
• Validate serverless apps in AWS and event-driven workflows.
• Perform end-to-end testing across distributed microservices and integrations.
• Test API Gateways and contract-first APIs using OpenAPI/Swagger specs.
• Collaborate with developers, DevOps, and product teams in Agile environments.
• Participate in sprint planning, backlog grooming, and code reviews.
