Job summary

The Federal Reserve Bank of St. Louis is seeking an experienced Senior Quality Assurance Automation Engineer to design, develop, and implement automated testing solutions for a cloud-based big data analytics platform.

You will join an agile product team, work on testing cloud-native processing, and help reduce improper payments within an AWS-based application. The role involves designing test plans, creating reusable data, mentoring QA peers, and collaborating with data scientists and engineers.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology or commensurate experience.
• 5+ years of QA automation and testing experience.
• Strong SQL, especially Redshift, and data querying skills.
• Proficient in Java, Selenium, Python, and Jira/Xray.
• Experience with AWS data services: EC2, S3, Redshift, Glue, Lambda, SageMaker.
• Experience with API and performance testing tools (Postman, Gatling).
• Knowledge of IaC and cloud security testing is a plus.
• US Citizenship is required.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain test automation frameworks and scripts for cloud-based applications on AWS.
• Create comprehensive test plans to validate cloud infrastructure, services, and data.
• Monitor test results and identify improvements in product and testing.
• Develop reusable test data and participate in scrum ceremonies.
• Perform requirement validation, integration, regression, API, performance, and usability testing.
• Collaborate with team members to troubleshoot issues and validate fixes.
• Provide leadership and mentor QA peers on testing processes.
• Participate in peer reviews and defect remediation.
• Improve testing processes and cloud-native capabilities.
