Job summary

Dematic Corp. in Grand Rapids, MI is seeking a Quality Assurance Software Engineer to help validate warehouse software solutions and automation.

You will design and execute test scripts, lead onsite testing with distribution center teams, and train end users on standard operating procedures for the software tested. Ideal candidates have a BS in CS/IT with 4 years of QA or software engineering experience, strong C and Java skills, and familiarity with Selenium, TestNG, Git, and CI/CD practices.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CS/IT and 4 years' QA/software experience.
• 2 years in warehouse software domains and strong OOP (C# or Java) and SOLID design.
• Experience with Git, CI/CD, Agile, and Java/Selenium testing.

Responsibilities

• Understand customer requirements and advise on design.
• Define and execute test scripts; communicate risks and defects.
• Lead onsite testing with distribution center teams and mechatronics.
• Lead end-user training for software tested.
• Support Customer Service with root-cause analysis.
• Own testing excellence for project execution.
• Use C to write automation tests and explain the system.
• Analyze logs and perform root-cause analysis on C code.
• Use Java, TestNG and Selenium to build automation framework.
• Use Linux CLI to build/deploy in test and production environments.
