Job summary

Fulcronix is seeking a QA Automation Engineer to join our growing QA team. The ideal candidate will design, build, and maintain scalable automation frameworks for web apps and APIs, and will collaborate closely with development, DevOps, and product teams to ensure high-quality software delivery.

The candidate should be passionate about modern QA practices, test optimization, and leveraging AI-powered tools to improve productivity and software quality.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in QA Automation Engineering.
• Hands-on experience with Playwright automation framework.
• Strong knowledge of GitLab CI/CD pipeline integration and automation execution.
• Experience with Jira and Qmetry for test management and defect tracking.
• Familiarity with AI-assisted engineering tools such as Amazon Q and Kiro.
• Strong understanding of SDLC, STLC, and Agile/Scrum methodologies.
• Experience with API automation and testing tools.
• Knowledge of SQL queries for database validation.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable automation frameworks for web applications and APIs.
• Create and execute automated test scripts using Playwright and other modern automation tools.
• Perform functional, regression, smoke, integration, and end-to-end testing.
• Integrate automated test suites within CI/CD pipelines using GitLab CI/CD.
• Collaborate with DevOps teams to ensure deployment validation and release quality.
• Utilize AI-powered tools to improve testing efficiency and workflows.
• Work with product owners, developers, and stakeholders to understand testing needs.
• Manage and track test cases, defects, and QA processes using Jira and Qmetry.
• Participate in sprint planning, backlog grooming, and Agile ceremonies.
• Perform API testing using Postman, REST Assured, or similar tools.
• Analyze results, troubleshoot issues, and provide detailed defect reports.
• Mentor junior QA engineers and contribute to QA best practices.
