Job summary

Morningstar is seeking a senior QA Automation Engineer to develop and execute automated tests across web, API, and mobile platforms, while shaping enterprise testing frameworks. The role emphasizes cross‑functional collaboration with product, development, and DevOps teams and mentoring junior staff.

You will drive test coverage for performance, security, and reliability across six AWS environments, building complex test suites in modern languages and integrating into CI/CD pipelines.

Qualifications

• Requires a Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or related field, or foreign equivalent.
• 8 years of experience in software quality assurance, test automation, and QA strategy development.
• 8 years of experience with automated web, mobile, and API test cases.
• 8 years of experience with test scripting in JavaScript, TypeScript, Python, or Java.
• 4 years of experience with QA automation framework design and cloud (AWS) environments.
• 4 years of experience with object‑oriented programming and Selenium/Webdriver/TestNG/JUnit.
• 3 years of experience with content management workflows and observability tools.
• Will accept any suitable combination of education, training, and experience.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute automated tests for UI, APIs, and mobile apps.
• Lead design and maintenance of enterprise-grade automated testing frameworks across web, mobile, API platforms.
• Conduct exploratory testing to uncover gaps in coverage.
• Collaborate with product managers, developers, and DevOps to ensure quality standards.
• Mentor junior QA team members in best practices.
• Drive QA strategy and set coverage standards for performance, security, and reliability across 6 AWS environments.
