Job summary

TechNix LLC is seeking a QA Automation Architect for a 9-month remote assignment with the Minnesota DHS. The role focuses on leading automation architecture, modernizing frameworks, and delivering scalable test assets across METS/SMRT DevOps initiatives.

You will collaborate with developers, QA, and DevOps teams to implement automation strategies, mentor engineers, and ensure robust API, UI, and database test coverage while enabling continuous delivery and long-term maintainability.

Qualifications

• 7+ years designing, developing, and executing automated test solutions for large-scale enterprise applications.
• 5+ years creating automation frameworks using Java and Selenium or comparable automation technologies.
• 5+ years designing, developing, or significantly enhancing automation frameworks using OO design and reusable framework architecture.
• 3+ years integrating automated testing into CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins.
• 5+ years writing SQL queries and performing database validation in automated testing.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, maintain, and modernize the enterprise automation framework for the State's healthcare eligibility system.
• Provide technical leadership for automation architecture, framework design, standards, and best practices within the DevOps team.
• Evaluate and modernize existing automation frameworks for maintainability, scalability, and reliability.
• Collaborate with developers, BAs, DevOps, and QA to define automation strategies and reusable assets.
• Design, execute, and maintain functional, API, and regression automation suites for statewide systems.
• Integrate automated testing into CI/CD pipelines across the software lifecycle.
• Mentor automation engineers through code reviews and coaching.
• Develop SQL queries for database validation and troubleshooting.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies and automation design discussions.
