Job summary

Mama Money is seeking a Senior QA Engineer to champion a quality-first approach within our agile development team. You’ll oversee test strategy, execute tests, log and track defects, and drive automation across the stack from REST APIs to databases and front-end interfaces.

You will collaborate with product and engineering to ensure test coverage, expand automation, and improve overall software quality, reporting into the QE Lead.

Qualifications

• 5-8+ years of QA testing experience in an Agile software development environment.
• Developing test strategies and writing thorough test cases.
• Extensive back-end testing with REST, SQS, databases, and front-end interfaces.
• Strong SQL skills and familiarity with relational DB tools (DBeaver, SQL Server, MySQL Workbench).
• Experience with Git, cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP), and AWS services like SQS, API Gateway, RDS.
• Hands-on experience with API tools such as Swagger and Postman.
• Experience with JavaScript scripting for test automation.
• Knowledge of mocking for isolated service testing is a plus.
• Strong exploratory testing and bug-triage skills.
• Senior influence on software quality beyond team boundary.

Responsibilities

• Define and execute the QA strategy across the full SDLC to ensure high-quality releases.
• Plan, document, and maintain test scenarios, integration points, test data, and verification results.
• Execute test cases, log bugs with clear reproduction steps, and verify fixes in QA before production.
• Drive test automation efforts, collaborate with QE Lead, and maintain test suites and automation capabilities.
• Provide guidance to the team on quality practices and proactively improve testing processes.
