Job summary

Ventura Foods seeks a Principal QA Engineer to lead hands-on test automation efforts in Irvine, CA. The role designs an automation framework with Python, PyTest, Java, Playwright, and Selenium, and drives enterprise testing standards to improve release readiness.

You will develop CI/CD with Jenkins or GitHub Actions, automate REST API tests with Postman/JMeter, and coordinate cross-functional testing with ERP systems knowledge and UAT coordination. Strong emphasis on quality and scalability.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree preferred in Computer Science or Electrical Engineering.
• 5+ years of experience in software QA automation.
• Hands-on with Python or Java with PyTest, TestNG, Playwright or Selenium to automate regression testing.
• Experience with ERP systems (e.g. JDE EnterpriseOne, SAP, Oracle); Oracle Fusion experience preferred.
• Strong knowledge of software QA methodologies, tools, and processes.
• Experience in CPG/Foodservice industry preferred.

Responsibilities

• Design scalable test automation suites from scratch using Python or Java with PyTest, TestNG, Playwright or Selenium.
• Develop CI/CD infrastructures and build systems using Jenkins or GitHub Actions.
• Automate and execute RESTful API testing using Postman, SoapUI, or equivalents.
• Build automated performance tests using tools like Apache JMeter or LoadRunner.
• Develop automation test plans, strategies, and review with pod leaders and business.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and resolve quality issues.
