Job summary

PushToTest, delivering services to Best Buy, seeks a Senior Quality/Test lead within Best Buy's Global IT team. The role focuses on designing, delivering, and governing quality efforts for complex integrations and multi-vendor environments.

You will automate soapUI testing, expand the test framework, influence design for testing in agile teams, and drive end-to-end testing strategies across PushToTest, WiPro, and Accenture collaborations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor or advanced degree in IT, Computer Science, business or related field.
• 5+ years in a Lead QA or Architect role.
• 5+ years experience in complex integrated systems design and development across multiple capabilities.
• Clear understanding of architecture principles.
• 3+ years scripting in JVM-based language (e.g. Groovy, Jython).
• Power-User level Unix skills.
• Experience in Web Service testing, preferably using soapUI.

Responsibilities

• Teaching test automation philosophy.
• Influencing “design for testing” strategies in the scrum teams.
• Driving improvement in environmental maturity so automated tests are more reliable.
• Work with other teams to prioritize and manage deliverables.
• Represent BestBuy needs within PushToTest product planning – particularly around Total Cost of Ownership.
• Represent PushToTest product abilities within BestBuy team.
• Advance the cause of quality within Best Buy, PushToTest, and the world of Test Professionals.
• Review technical specifications/limitations and construct reviews of technical approach including application capacity reviews.
• Design and implement Quality programs and roadmaps within a multi-vendor delivery model (PushToTest, WiPro, Accenture).
