Job summary

Everforth Apex is seeking an experienced Senior Python Risk Developer in Jersey City, NJ, to join the Counterparty Credit Risk Technology team. You will design and build scalable Python solutions for risk calculations and analytics, collaborating with risk managers, analysts, and middle-office users.

The role emphasizes production-grade Python development, high-concurrency systems, and strong SQL skills with Oracle/Sybase, along with leadership in SDLC and support of strategic platforms.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent professional experience.
• 10+ years of enterprise software development experience, preferably within Financial Services.
• Strong hands-on Python development and Object-Oriented design with robust SQL skills (Oracle and/or Sybase).

Responsibilities

• Design and develop scalable, production-grade Python solutions for risk calculations and analytics.
• Collaborate with Risk Managers, Business Analysts, Middle Office users, and technology partners through the full SDLC.
• Build high-concurrency, distributed enterprise applications.
• Develop and optimize database queries and structures using SQL databases such as Oracle or Sybase.
• Utilize AI-assisted development tools to enhance development efficiency and code quality.
• Provide technical leadership, testing, deployment, and production support for strategic platforms.
