Job summary

JPMorganChase is seeking a Lead Software Engineer focused on Python development within the Asset and Wealth Management Technology team. You will contribute to transforming the Quant Research Platform and Portfolio Construction stack, partnering with Quant Research on model development and reusable Python libraries for production-ready research workflows.

Qualifications

Formal training or certification in software engineering with 5+ years of applied experience.
Hands-on experience in system design, development, testing, and operational stability.
Strong experience with Python coding.
Experience in financial services across asset classes.
Knowledge of statistical methods and data analytics.
Experience leading adoption of AI-assisted software development tools and practices.

Responsibilities

Executes creative software solutions, design, development, and troubleshooting with ability to think beyond routine.
Develops secure, high-quality production code and reviews/debugs code written by others.
Drives adoption of enterprise‑authorized AI‑assisted engineering practices to improve code quality and delivery speed.
Applies SDLC tools and AI-assisted development capabilities to improve automation and value.
Identifies opportunities to automate recurring issues to improve operational stability.
Leads evaluation sessions with external vendors and internal teams on architecture and applicability.
