Job summary

JPMorganChase in New York is seeking a Lead Software Engineer specializing in Python for Quant Development and Quant Research within Asset and Wealth Management Technology. Qualifications

Formal software engineering training with hands-on delivery
Strong Python coding experience in financial services
Experience delivering system design, development, testing and operations
Familiarity with AI-assisted tooling and secure coding practices
Knowledge of statistics, data analytics or quant methods
Understanding of CI/CD and cloud native environments
Knowledge of financial services across asset classes

Responsibilities

Executes creative software solutions, designs, develops, and troubleshoots beyond routine problems
Develops secure, high-quality production code and reviews code
Drives adoption of enterprise AI-assisted engineering practices to improve quality and delivery
Applies SDLC tools and AI-assisted development to increase value from automation
Identifies and automates recurring issues to improve stability
Leads evaluation sessions with vendors and internal teams on architecture and credentials
Ensures compliance with secure, resilient engineering standards and practices
Provides guidance on agile methodologies and software lifecycle
