Job summary

Veriipro is seeking an experienced Senior Python/QA Engineer to guard quality across the full software delivery lifecycle. You will lead Python automation, API testing, and data validation, partnering with data engineers and developers in a global delivery model.

You will design end-to-end tests over data pipelines, validate Databricks Unity Catalog schemas, and build scalable QA frameworks using Great Expectations or Deequ.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience in Python and QA/automation testing.
• Hands-on Python automation expertise.
• Experience with Playwright, Selenium WebDriver.
• Experience testing Databricks, Unity Catalog, Snowflake.
• CI/CD and DevOps practices experience.
• Docker, Azure DevOps, Jenkins, and GitHub Actions exposure.
• REST and GraphQL API testing experience.
• SQL and data validation experience.
• Experience with data platforms and modern data pipelines.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute comprehensive Test Strategies, Test Plans, Test Cases, and Test Scenarios.
• Review BRDs and map requirements to testable acceptance criteria.
• Identify gaps, ambiguities, and quality risks before development.
• Maintain a RTM linking BRD requirements, test cases, and test results.
• Design and execute end-to-end tests across data pipelines to dashboards.
• Validate data accuracy across Unity Catalog schemas.
• Build Python-based data quality and regression frameworks.
• Validate data completeness, referential integrity, and schema evolution.
• Automate API testing and API contracts.
• Test authentication and authorization workflows and error handling.
• Perform API performance/load testing with Locust, k6, JMeter.

We are seeking an experiencedSenior Python/QA Engineerto serve as a quality gatekeeper across the full software delivery lifecycle. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise inPython automation, Playwright, Selenium, API testing, data validation, and CI/CD, along with experience testing modern data platforms such asDatabricks and Snowflake.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and execute comprehensiveTest Strategies, Test Plans, Test Cases, and Test Scenarios.
• Review Business Requirements Documents (BRDs) and map requirements to testable acceptance criteria.
• Identify requirement gaps, ambiguities, and potential quality risks before development begins.
• Maintain aRequirements Traceability Matrix (RTM)linking BRD requirements, test cases, and test results.
• Participate in BRD walkthroughs, requirement reviews, and stakeholder sign-off meetings.
• Design and execute end-to-end tests covering the complete data pipeline from source systems throughDatabricks/Snowflake transformations to dashboard UI.
• Validate data accuracy acrossDatabricks Unity Catalog schemas.
• Develop and executeSQL-based data validation scripts.
• Build Python-based data quality and regression frameworks usingGreat Expectations, Deequ, or custom frameworks.

• Conduct comprehensiveREST and GraphQL API testing.
• Validate API contracts including request/response schemas, status codes, headers, authentication, and authorization.
• Use tools such asBruno, Postman, Requests, HTTPX, and Swagger/OpenAPIfor API validation and automation.
• Test authentication and authorization workflows, including token validation, role-based access, and session management.
• Validate API error handling, malformed payloads, rate limiting, timeout behavior, and 4xx/5xx responses.
• Perform API performance and load testing usingLocust, k6, or JMeter.
• Validate API versioning, backward compatibility, and deprecation scenarios.
• Automate API contract testing withinCI/CD pipelinesto identify breaking changes before deployment.
• Validate consistency between API responses and underlyingDatabricks/SQL query results.
• Track defects through resolution and ensure requirements are fully validated with no escaped defects.
• Collaborate with developers, business stakeholders, data engineers, and other QA teams in a global delivery environment.
