Job summary

Attentive is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to design and build scalable APIs and microservices, with a focus on event-driven architectures using Python and Kafka. You will own delivery, partner with Product Owners, and guide offshore teams.

The role targets cloud-native solutions on Azure or Google Cloud, deployed in Kubernetes environments, and requires strong system design and collaboration across teams.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of software engineering experience.
• Strong Python development experience.
• Experience designing and implementing Kafka-based event-driven architectures.
• Hands-on API and microservices development.
• Experience with Kubernetes and either Azure or Google Cloud Platform.
• Strong system design and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop scalable APIs and microservices using Python and Kafka.
• Build and maintain real-time event processing solutions and distributed systems.
• Architect and implement cloud-native applications in Azure or GCP.
• Develop and deploy solutions within Kubernetes environments.
• Collaborate with Product and Engineering teams to define technical solutions and execute delivery.
• Partner with offshore developers while serving as the primary technical owner for assigned projects.
• Lead design discussions and contribute to overall system architecture.
