Job summary

Nord Security is seeking a skilled backend engineer to design and maintain data curation services for threat intelligence, focusing on scalable microservices and robust data pipelines. You will contribute to architecture reviews, code quality, and secure, testable code while collaborating across teams to deliver high-quality feeds.

You will help drive distributed systems on AWS with Docker/Kubernetes, gain exposure to FastAPI and Kafka, and participate in cutting-edge cybersecurity projects

Qualifications

• Strong Python proficiency with core concepts and data structures.
• Experience designing microservice systems and inter-service communication.
• Experience with PostgreSQL data stores.
• Ability to write maintainable, readable, and secure code.
• Cloud infrastructure experience with Docker and Kubernetes.
• Excellent problem-solving and structured, detail-oriented work approach.
• Excellent English communication, both verbal and written.

Responsibilities

• Design, code, and maintain data curation and ingestion services for the Threat Intelligence team.
• Provide, get buy-in, and carry on implementation for future-proof architectural solutions.
• Participate in code reviews, share knowledge, and ensure high-quality documentation.
• Design new services to provide quality feeds.
• Keep code up-to-date with coding standards, deliver maintainable, testable, secure code.
• Think big and discuss new ideas in product and cybersecurity terms.
• Provide technical leadership and guidance.
