Job summary

WorldQuant in New York seeks a senior-level Python engineer to join a small team building complex data pipelines, AI/ML systems, and innovative software solutions. You will manage technical objectives, provide technical leadership, and stay hands-on in development.

The ideal candidate has 7+ years in Python, strong data engineering skills, and experience with Pandas, NumPy, PySpark, cloud platforms, Docker, and Kubernetes.

Qualifications

• Master's degree or higher in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field.
• 7+ years of experience as a Python developer with data engineering and AI/ML systems focus.
• Expert-level Python knowledge and ecosystem usage (Pandas, NumPy, PySpark).
• Experience designing scalable, maintainable data pipelines and working with cloud platforms.

Responsibilities

• Mentor junior team members, conduct code reviews, and drive architectural decisions.
• Deliver hands-on development while guiding technical objectives across teams.
• Collaborate with researchers and portfolio managers to deploy data-driven solutions.
