Job summary
Premier Inn Hotels LLC (UAE) in Plano, TX is seeking a senior software/backend engineer to design and build scalable backend systems with Python, REST APIs, and microservices, collaborating with product and operations teams.
The role requires strong AWS expertise (Lambda, API Gateway, ECS/Fargate, RDS/Aurora, DynamoDB), Docker, Terraform/CloudFormation, and robust CI/CD pipelines, plus observability, security, and production support in a fast-paced environment.
Qualifications
- 6+ years of professional software/backend engineering experience.
- Strong hands-on Python backend development.
- Experience designing and developing REST APIs and microservices.
- Strong AWS experience with several services listed.
- Experience with Docker and containerized deployment.
- Experience with Terraform and/or CloudFormation.
- Experience developing and maintaining CI/CD pipelines.
- Strong understanding of AWS IAM, KMS, Secrets Manager, VPC, and cloud security.
- Experience with observability, monitoring, logging, alerting.
- Experience with Git, code reviews, Agile development, and production support.
- Strong communication and technical problem-solving skills.
