Job summary

Salesforce is extending its GovCloud automation with a Senior Software Engineer who designs and deploys AI-powered playbooks, integrations, and agents for GSOC CSIRT operations. You will work hands-on in Python, building auditable automation and leveraging modern AI tooling to ship high-quality software for secure government workloads.

You will collaborate with GSOC analysts, extend Luna platform capabilities, and ensure compliance with data handling and isolation requirements in GovCloud.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional software engineering experience, with production Python
• Hands-on experience building automation, integrations, or backend services that interact with multiple APIs
• Demonstrated AI-first approach to engineering and using AI tools in development workflows
• Experience with AI tools in development workflows (e.g., Claude Code, Copilot, Codex)
• Advanced prompt engineering and ability to craft precise prompts and system context
• Experience reviewing AI-generated code and orchestrating AI tools across multi-step tasks
• Strong fundamentals: clean code, API design, testing, version control, CI/CD, observability
• Experience with public cloud services (AWS, Google Cloud Platform, or Azure)
• Hands-on experience building agentic systems (LLM-backed agents, tool calls, MCP servers, etc.)
• Excellent written and verbal communication to explain technical decisions to engineers and security stakeholders

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and operate Python-based playbooks, actions, integrations, and agents on the Luna platform for GovCloud CSIRT workflows
• Translate analysts' tradecraft into auditable automation solutions
• Extend agentic capabilities into GovCloud with isolation and data-handling compliance
• Leverage AI development tooling to ship faster with higher quality
• Own end-to-end delivery from scoping to post-incident hardening
• Lead code reviews, maintain secure-by-default integrations, and adopt new AI tools
• Mentor engineers and support on-call service ownership
• Develop high-quality, production-grade software with AI as a core development tool
• Architect complex systems where AI agents integrate into human workflows
• Critically evaluate code (human or AI-generated) for correctness and performance
• Maintain shared system context documenting designs, constraints, and standards
