Job summary

The role requires 8–10+ years, hands-on Python/Django, edtech experience, AWS, Docker, PostgreSQL/Oracle, and a strong focus on performance and data processing. Onsite at Chelsea Piers, NYC, for a 1-year contract-to-hire.

Qualifications

• 8–10+ years of software development experience.
• Hands-on Python and Django development.
• Experience in education technology, higher-education or LMS.
• Experience building enterprise backend services.
• Strong SQL experience (PostgreSQL/Oracle).
• Experience with Pandas, NumPy, PySpark.
• Experience with AWS and Docker.
• Familiarity with CI/CD and Git.
• Strong knowledge of data structures and algorithms.
• Excellent communication and problem solving.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain high-performance Python applications.
• Build backend apps and APIs with Python/Django.
• Process large datasets using Pandas, NumPy, PySpark.
• Integrate enterprise apps and data platforms.
• Work with PostgreSQL/Oracle and SQL-based systems.
• Containerize apps with Docker.
• Collaborate in Agile environment.
