Job summary

Tata Consultancy Services is seeking a Software Engineer in the United States to design, deploy, and operate applications on Kubernetes/OpenShift. You will develop Python-based services and automation tools, build CI/CD pipelines, and implement Policy as Code to enforce security and governance across container platforms.

The role involves collaborating with SRE and security teams, integrating DevSecOps controls into pipelines, and improving platform reliability through monitoring and RCA.

Qualifications

• Hands-on Python development for APIs, automation and tooling.
• Experience designing and maintaining CI/CD pipelines across environments.
• Proficient with Kubernetes/OpenShift administration and troubleshooting.
• Knowledge of Policy as Code for governance, security and compliance.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain Python-based services and platform utilities.
• Build and enhance CI/CD pipelines for automated delivery and release orchestration.
• Deploy, operate, and troubleshoot applications on Kubernetes/OpenShift.
• Implement Policy as Code to enforce standards and prevent drift.
• Integrate DevSecOps controls (SAST/DAST, container scanning, SBOM) into pipelines.
• Create and maintain Kubernetes manifests, Helm/Kustomize overlays, and OpenShift resources.
• Improve platform reliability via monitoring and RCA for production issues.
• Contribute to engineering standards and runbooks.
