Job summary

Veridian Tech Solutions, Inc. is seeking an accomplished Python Developer to design, develop, and maintain scalable Python applications and microservices.

The role supports enterprise automation platforms from Pennington, NJ or Charlotte, NJ, working on REST APIs, real-time data processing with Kafka, and data pipelines using Starburst/Trino. The ideal candidate will have 8+ years of Python experience, experience with FastAPI/Flask/Django, CI/CD, OpenShift, Redis, and Agile/Scrum collaboration.

Qualifications

• Bachelors or masters in CS or related field.
• 8+ years of Python development experience.
• Design, develop, test, and maintain scalable Python apps and microservices.
• Build REST APIs with FastAPI, Flask, or Django.
• Develop Kafka-based event-driven integrations for real-time processing.
• Create and optimize SQL queries and data pipelines (Starburst/Trino).
• Perform unit testing, code reviews, and CI/CD practices.
• Collaborate with Product Owners and teams in Agile/Scrum.
• Familiar with OpenShift, Redis, and cloud-native tech.
• Document designs and operational procedures.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and maintain scalable Python apps and microservices.
• Build and support REST APIs using FastAPI, Flask, or Django.
• Develop Kafka-based event integrations for real-time processing.
• Create, optimize, and troubleshoot SQL queries and data pipelines (Starburst/Trino).
• Perform unit testing, code reviews, defect fixes, and release readiness.
• Support deployments, CI/CD pipelines, and post-release validation.
• Monitor and resolve production issues ensuring reliability and performance.
• Collaborate with Product Owners, architects, and teams in Agile/Scrum.
• Participate in platform modernization and integration initiatives.
• Develop workflow orchestration with Airflow or Astronomer when needed.
• Utilize Git and release management processes.
