Job summary

Orbit Search is seeking an experienced Senior Python Developer to design, build, and maintain data integrations and pipelines supporting finance, warehousing, and distribution.

You will work directly with APIs and ETL workflows to move and transform data reliably across multiple systems. This is a hands‑on engineering position offering the opportunity to collaborate with a team while also taking full ownership of projects from initial design through delivery.

Qualifications

• Five+ years of professional software development experience using Python.
• Strong hands-on experience designing and consuming REST/JSON APIs.
• Experience building and maintaining ETL pipelines and data integrations.
• Industry experience within finance, warehousing, and/or distribution.
• Solid knowledge of SQL and relational databases.
• Ability to work effectively both collaboratively and independently.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain production Python applications and services.
• Build and manage ETL pipelines that extract, transform, and load data across systems.
• Build and consume internal and third-party RESTful APIs.
• Develop technical solutions supporting finance, warehousing, and distribution processes.
• Write clean, well‑tested, maintainable code with appropriate documentation.
• Troubleshoot, monitor, and optimize data workflows for accuracy, reliability, and performance.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams.
• Independently manage and deliver projects from start to finish.
