Job summary

Fliff, a social sports gaming company, is seeking a Senior Python Engineer for the Wallet team. You will own backend features, design scalable services with Django and asyncio, and help manage wallets, bets, settlements, and financial flows at high load.

You will write tests, estimate effort, and collaborate with product, QA, and other engineers to translate requirements into robust technical solutions. On-call rotations are expected as part of the role.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of development experience with Python.
• Strong Django experience and asyncio.
• Strong fundamentals in algorithms, data structures and concurrency.
• Experience designing highly loaded, scalable architectures.
• Experience with PostgreSQL and SQL queries, migrations, and performance tuning.
• Redis for caching/state management in distributed systems.
• Willingness to participate in on-call rotations.

Responsibilities

• Take full ownership of backend features and improvements, from design through implementation, deployment, and production support
• Design, develop, and maintain scalable, high-performance backend services using Python and Django, including asynchronous components where applicable
• Write unit and integration tests to ensure system reliability, prevent regressions, and improve test coverage
• Estimate software development effort for features and long-term technical initiatives
• Collaborate with product, QA, and engineering teams to turn requirements into technical solutions
• Participate in code reviews, raise engineering quality, and contribute to technical decisions
