Job summary

Fliff is seeking a Senior Python Engineer to join the DataFeed Team in the United States. You will build core systems behind Fliff's sports data platform, focusing on ingestion, transformation, and distribution of data from providers, while ensuring accuracy and low latency for real-time experiences.

You will collaborate with backend, product, trading, QA, and platform teams to deliver dependable data flows and shape architecture for resilient, observable systems at scale.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of production Python experience
• Designing and operating backend services in production
• Solid Django experience with asyncio
• Production experience with Apache Kafka
• Strong SQL skills, PostgreSQL experience
• Experience with external APIs and data feeds
• On-call rotations and troubleshooting production systems

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain Python services for data ingestion and distribution
• Integrate with third-party data providers and normalize formats
• Build reliable near real-time and batch data pipelines
• Improve validation, monitoring, and alerting for data quality
• Model domains for events, markets, scores, and related sports entities
• Investigate production issues and enhance observability
• Collaborate across backend, product, QA, and platform teams
